Miguel Becerril - Fashion Designer


Born in the heroic city of Cuautla, Morelos, in Mexico, Miguel Becerril grew up in a conservative family culture. First child of restaurant business owners Florina Perez and Miguel B. Cedeno, Miguel learned first-hand experience interacting with varying customer needs and expectations.

In his early years, he traveled frequently between Morelos, Mexico and California, United States. For the past ten years, Chicago, IL has been his hometown. Here he has grown into a young, aspiring fashion designer. He has attended on multiple occassions Fashion Week in NYC.

Since graduating from Steinmetz Academic Centre, he has been pursuing his passion in a career in Fashion Design, with hard work and determination. Miguel has already accomplished his early goals and dreams, creating now multiple sets of refined women's collections, and more recently mens.

Becerril's first collection of eight elegant dresses debuted in 2004. Since then he has displayed new collections in multiple fashion shows. His recent appearances include Market Days 2006 and 2007 and Project Alama 2006, as well as a Fashion Show wildly praised on September 28, 2006 in Chicago. On June 3, 2008 a new collection entitled "Fierce" was released for an up and coming Chicago fashion guide with a Fashion Show. Latest events have included "Necessary Taboos" November 6, 2010, where it was greatly praised by hundreds of viewers, press and media.

Also, October 30 to November 30, 2010, "Alter Ego" exhibition in Chicago showcased Miguel's work along with various artists. Currently Miguel Becerril is working on the most impressive and outstanding Fashion Event yet. Here he will share the runway with new up-and-coming fashion designers in Chicago with as much exposure as possible to the press and media.
